Getting There
Health Insurance
Before travelling to France, remember to organise your European Health Insurance Card which is essential for the partial reimbursement of any medical costs you may incur.
Ferry
We usually travel with Brittany Ferries which crosses overnight from Portsmouth to St Malo and Caen (Ouistreham), and from Plymouth to Roscoff. If you are making a reservation, call Alan or Vix to get our French Property Owners membership number which may entitle you to a discount. St Malo is about 45 mins drive from our house.

St Malo
Flying
Good deals are available if booked in advance with Ryan Air, which flies from Stanstead to Dinard (40 minutes drive). Vehicles can be hired from Hertz or Avis from the airport at quite reasonable rates.
Note: There is no public transport link between Dinard and La Bouillie.
Train
The nearest SNCF station is Lamballe which connects to Paris (including TGV trains). Travelling from the UK by train sadly isn't recommended, whilst technically possible it is somewhat long-winded and doesn't correspond with ferry departures/arrivals.
