For serious medical emergencies, dial either 112 (the standard European emergency number) or 18.
The nearest casualty facilities are at St Brieuc, which is 30 mins away.

Exit the N12 after Languex shopping centre. Turn left over the motorway and follow the signs for around 10 minutes.
If you do have to call an ambulance, don't be surprised when the firemen ("pompiers") arrive, they are also trained paramedics. This is standard practice!

Banks
Local banks are closed on Mondays, except at St Brieuc, which is about 40 minutes drive away.
Opening times are usually 9.30am-12.30pm and 2.00pm-5.00pm Tuesday to Friday, 9.30am-12.30pm Saturday.

Post Office
Whenever possible, we try to use the small sub-Post Office in La Bouillie, open 9am to 12pm. There is a slightly later collection opposite Carol's bar next to the church. Otherwise, there are main Post Offices in the centre of Erquy, Pléneuf and Lamballe. In France, postboxes are yellow.
Shops
Usual opening times are 9.00am-12.30/1.00pm and 3.00pm-6.30/7.00pm Monday-Saturday. Smaller shops are often closed on Sundays and Mondays whilst larger supermarkets like SuperU (near Erquy) and Leclerc (Pléneuf), are open Sunday mornings during the summer season. SuperU is open all day long, except Sundays, year-round.
Take your own shopping bags unless you wish to purchase large reusable bags at the store.
Garages/Petrol
There are petrol stations both at SuperU (near Erquy), la Couture (on the way to Pléneuf) and Leclerc (Pléneuf). Also there is a small locally owned petrol station/garage in Hénansal. For car repairs, Bruno's Renault garage in La Bouillie, or Guy, next to the Elize bar. There is also a garage on the way to Sable D'Or, west of Erquy. Use Super, but check for unleaded ("sans plomb") or diesel ("gasoil").
